Get up and go boldly.

Kimika Hudson is the founder of Go Boldly, a digital and stationary lifestyle tool that turns dreamers into achievers. She is our #WCW because she is determined, savvy and passionate about helping others.

1. What's your story? What makes you unique?

It was midmorning on a cold winter day when my car went spiraling on black ice. BOOM! BAM! CRASH! It was like being in a pinball machine. My car hit a telephone pole, light pole and then almost smashed into a semi-truck, missing it by a hair, only to crash land in a ditch instead. I don't even know if I had a chance to scream, but I sat there, white knuckled, gripping the steering wheel. God only knows how I walked out alive and without a scratch, because my car looked like a piece of origami. It was that morning that it hit me (no pun intended), that we have a limited time here on earth. So, what we do with our time matters.

Passions, purpose and doing things that gave meaning and fulfillment became an important part of my life. I used to have a limited view on what is possible in life. I thought, because I wasn’t born wealthy and didn’t attend the Ivy Leagues, there was limit to what I can accomplish, or be.

The last couple of years, I've been featured in Fortune Magazine, worked with seven-figure companies and landed a book deal without a book. How? I recognized that our potential in life is limitless. If we have the right tools, strategies and mindset, we can attain success. I'm NOT the smartest, prettiest or most talented. What I am is a person that has learned how to do extraordinary things. It was when I hit bottom and had nothing else to lose that I screamed out, “What am I supposed to do with my life?!" After a piercing silence, I heard the answer: get up and go boldly.

That's why the mission of Go Boldly is to make tools that bridge the gap between ambition and achievement; to help dreamers turn into achievers.

2. What motivates you?

Helping people turn their dreams into reality. Especially people who don’t see their potential and the possibilities before them.

3. Who is a hero of yours?

My mother. She doesn’t sit and wallow in problems. She always does what she has got to do in order to move forward.

5. What's your future plan? Your goals?

Hire two people onto the Go Boldly team.

6. If you could give one piece of advice, what would it be?

Build up your self-compassion muscles everyday. The more ambitious we become and the more opportunities we face, the more likely we are to tear ourselves down. So, we have to learn to be gracious to ourselves, especially when making major changes.

7. What is something you feel strongly about (a cause, belief, etc.)?

Limiting beliefs. Way too often, we come up reasons as to why we can’t do things instead of looking for solutions on how to do the things we want.

8. What's one of the coolest things you've ever done?

Getting the Thrive Planner featured in Fortune Magazine as one of the top productivity tools among some amazing tech companies.

9. Anything we haven't asked that you'd like to talk about.

I invite your readers to check out Go Boldly if they find themselves not getting any closer to their ambitions. Simply visit goboldly.co, and we’ll help you make those dreams happen.
